Rack and Ruin.

Today, after boiling a saucepan of water to make tea!!! The kettle has gone to that great tea making place in the sky, well actually its off to the dump! I go and see to the horses they are both fine, I toyed with the idea of taking their rugs off as it was yet another mild day, but decided against it as the blonde bird is doing them after work so it will be quite dark she doesn't need to be faffing about with rugs.
Once back home My husband suggests we go out for a walk with the dog.
We drive out to Racton, there is a lovely little church in the village which seems to be just a few houses along the road! We park in the Church car park and have a quick look round before heading off up a bridleway towards the ruin which sits on a hill looking down on Racton, Racton Ruin, it is also known as Racton Tower it dates from about 1772 and was built by the Earl of Halifax. We walked up to and past it, the dog as usual off the lead as we went round a bend in the track a lady on horseback appeared, I called the dog to me and signalled her to sit, which she duly did. The lady said "what a well behaved dog" as she passed by.
Fair enough she is very used to horses, but the rider said it was the fact she sat when asked.... ahh my good girl. We walked back to the car and drove home, taking a detour via the shop to buy another Kettle!
After a lovely cup of tea (boiling the kettle 4 times and discarding the water, as per instructions), actually it was a few cups of tea, got to get the tea levels up, I decided to make a lemon cous cous cake again as the last one went so fast (and only 1.5 syns for the whole thing!!) Yummy.
Lit'lun was invited to go swimming at the local leisure centre with her friend then on to have tea with them, one less mouth to feed tonight.... she got out of tidying up her bedroom though grr!
