Today it is All Souls day, a day to remember those who have died. On 24 November 2005 my dad died. He was on a cruise with my mum and they had just left Spain. He suffered several heart attacks, and died in a Spanish hospital where the care he received was fantastic.
My mother in law passed away between Christmas and New year, 2000 very suddenly and unexpectedly.
Even though All Souls day is a Christian festival, nobody knows when their time will be up, we may be lucky and have a long life or not so lucky and die young, either way we should make the most of it. We don't have to be Christian to enjoy what we do, have fun, work hard not cause anxiety or upset to other people, and help when we can.
