As I woke up this morning and got out of bed I realised I would not spend another night in it till Wednesday, It is a very unhappy thought, I love my bed.
Out into the freezing cold. The heavy rain and force 9 freezing wind chilling me as I make a run for the car followed by Lit'lun and the dog.
The horses sensibly are under the field shelter, that is until they hear me pushing the wheelbarrow up the track, then they rush over for their morning feed and some hay. Too cold, I decide to muck out the field tonight. Back in the car the dog is whining she doesn't care about the weather as long as she is with me and we are outside. Crazy animal!
I drive over to mums, its 9.am and they have just finished breakfast, great just in time for a cuppa.
The dog and Beethoven eye each other, its the first time they have met, Beethoven, although 12 years old, is very bouncy where as the dog who is four is very sedate around other dogs. He bounces at her and she tells him off! they both know where they stand now and are quite happy to be around each other.
My cousin sets off for home having been told that they have quite a bit of snow back home, and later on we have a light lunch.
My husband rings to say he has set off on his way home, and shortly after my cousin rings to say he is home the snow has all gone and its chucking it down with rain!!
I set off to do the horses for the evening run this time I muck out too. Then its off home to sort out my dinner to take to work and the kids dinners.
And now its off to work for the night. I hope its better than the last couple of night shifts I have had!
