My last night shift tonight. Thank goodness. The last two nights have been busy, the first a complete nightmare. I am single manned tonight so who knows where I might end up. We got to one hospital last night and found 9 ambulances waiting in front of us to book their patients in! We were waiting for an hour before we could hand over. I woke up about an hour ago, and found I was alone, the kids are at school or work, and my husband has, I presume gone to Uni. He was also on nights for the last two nights so I haven't seen him properly since before he went away on Friday! Shifts!! I spoke to the Northern Bird last night, she told me she had won a remote controlled helicopter in a local radio competition. They had asked people to text in saying what their worst Christmas present ever, had been. She told them that last Christmas her,now, ex husband had given her "PS I love you" then he promptly left her! We laughed about it especially when she said she has emailed her ex and thanked him for the rubbish (my word, hers was much to strong for my blog!!!) present, as he has just won her the remote controlled helicopter. Go girl! I can't believe that Christmas decorations are going up in November! I don't just mean in towns and such either, I went to a house on my first night shift which was completely decorated and ready for Christmas. Maybe its just me, I like the decorations to be put up a week before, then the kids get excited and you aren't fed up with them. Bah humbug. (Still, what are people thinking it is only November!) Ah well, I better go and sort out my dinner to take to work. I have to do the horses tonight too, the Blonde bird has been doing the mornings so that I can go straight to bed, Bless her.
