This morning I took my Mum my granddaughter and mums dog to the vets to have the made to measure American splint fitted to mums dogs front leg, the dog was so good and let them do it several times before having a short walk in it. For the next few weeks she will build up to wearing her prosthetic more and more until she is wearing it all day.
My hay arrived today too,
it smells lovely and the bales are nice and heavy, I have a small barn at my disposal and together with the 'help' of Rafi I got it stacked and away before any rain could get to it.
When I say Rafi helped, I mean he stood on every bale to inspect it for mice and rabbits sadly for him there were none, he did find a couple of very big spiders which he had as an evening snack.
It's my life, as I see it. It's my opinions, my thoughts, and my experiences. The content has changed over the years as my live has changed. The 40 something EMT Wife and mother, is now a Wife and Search Technician with Search Dogs Sussex and as for the age? Does that even matter!

A shocking story part two
Alas, poor Mouse!
Well to bring you up to speed, its not only Mouses fur that is thick! Apparently its her hide too, even whilst wearing the rug she still managed to go through the electric so with this in mind and the fact that a whole yard belonging to some friends came available, We decided to move Mouse as well as another friend with her horses.
The fields have proper fences now and although I still have to put an electric strip round to stop her rubbing herself silly she can't escape every day.
My friends horses are in the adjoining paddocks so she has company all the time.
We also don't have a footpath right beside us which means we no longer get people telling us we are being cruel to her. Did I mention I had to get a new bigger girth for her as she is doing so badly (not) that she has put on weight this winter!

Times, they are a changing!
Well Yesterday my husband had an interview for a new parish Priest job. He got it!
We have known this was in the pipe line but until very recently we have not known where it might be. Well now we know ...until Sunday when it will be made known in both our present church and the new church very few people know.
Keeping this from friends and family has been very tough, its exciting news and we want to tell people...roll on Sunday!
It will mean big changes all round, moving my horse, dropping shifts at work to a more workable number (due to travelling and family) are another two big factors for me. For my husband it will mean a change of job house and everything. We are looking forward to the changes however many there turn out to be.
There are a couple of things I wont miss, Andy on night shifts being one and having to spend less time with my family being the other. Having less shifts means I get to spend more time at home and after the year we had last year I will be making the most of friends and family time.

THE NAMES THE SAME BUT THE CONTENT WILL BE SUBTLY DIFFERENT!
So, our lives are about to change big time and here's how...
My husband will be changing from a full time fire fighter to a full time Priest! With this change comes a multitude of other changes,
* We will be moving house!
*I may have to move my horse!
*I will be either dropping my own work hours or giving up entirely!
*My husband wants my car, I will have to get another one!
We will have to move into a house provided by the parish that we move to, these range from regular sized houses to rather large rambling places, we could be in the middle of a town or city or in the heart of the country who knows, certainly not us at the moment! This also means we will be selling our present house!
Depending on how far away we end up I may have to move my horse from where she is stabled at the moment, this will also be difficult as I love being where we are.
Because of the possibility of a very long drive to work, the fact that I will need to play a part in my husbands work, and the fact that last year saw some very shocking events, I am dropping my shifts so that I can spend more time at home and with my family.
My husband wants my car, I was going to sell it and get another anyway so in a way this has saved me the trouble of putting mine on the market.
Even with all the above I think the biggest worry I have is how far away I will be moving from my Mum, Daughters, Granddaughter and friends( The boys are already far flung meaning we don't see as much of them as we would like) so I hope we manage to stay at least within a two hour drive of them.
So this is the story of my life right now. My Husband finishes in the Fire Service in June this year, so all of the above will be happening before then!
My Husband has to deal with all of the above plus the bonus of a new Parish, and he can't wait,
I am confident that the Bishop and his Arch Deacon are onto it, but as we don't know anything it makes it all just a teeny bit scary.

Back and forth.
The clock is ticking... time is marching on.. soon we wont be here we will have moved on.
But not to a "better place" in "That" sense of the word! Eek I hope not anyway! 😲
In four months a new chapter will begin and while I don't want to rush time on, good grief I'm old enough already!, I am excited to see how it pans out.
Where we will be and what I will be doing, less hours at work would be a good start. That is actually a done deal, I know I will be dropping at least three shifts of my five shift block but will I drop more and become a kept woman? Who knows!
What would be good right now would be for a morsel of information just a mere sliver would be good, because right now we have nothing and if I'm honest, which I do try to be, its a bit scary not knowing anything at all.
So until I know something I shall be forced to pace back and forth...back and forth.....

Mixed up day
Today is the first day that the Northern Bird is here.
Unfortunately the first thing we had to do today was not a nice thing!
My lovely Hedgehog is still very ill and now hasn't eaten for four days, even with the vets intervention on Monday. So sadly we have to take her to the vets to have her put down, although it is very sad and I don't want this to happen, I know she won't pull through and that a slow death is not what I want for her.
After this we went to mums then took the dogs for a walk on the beach which was nice, bright sunny and windy but nice.
we came home had dinner then thanks to Beth, we got free tickets to go and see Gnomeo and Juliet
in 3D we took Litlun with us, and thanks to Beths discount we had some nachos and popcorn too.
A nice end to a mixed day.
Still London tomorrow.
RIP Twiglet x

An update.

I thought I had better start with an update of what has been going on in my world since I last blogged (other than Farm town that is!)
My Husband is still working and studying, and in a couple of weeks time he has to go away for a weekend with his university.
Beth is still working and still not happy with the place she is working at, I can't see her staying there once she has qualified.... their loss!
Lit'lun STILL has a messy room, is still grounded until it is tidy and has developed rather an attitude which she seriously needs to think about changing as I an not going to tolerate it!
Mouse's staples came out, I managed to get a staple remover from one of the hospitals, and took them out, which saved me another vets bill, the last one for coming out and stapling her was £168.84. (It was a Sunday I suppose) She and Red are both doing well other than that.
Twiglet went to the vet to have her nails cut, and as a result of my consultation with the vet, we have decided to completely revamp her vivarium, with grass and sterile (small) logs to give her a more natural environment, so far I have two litter trays of grass growing on the window sill, time will tell if this will work or not!
Sable who was Lit'luns hamster had to be put to sleep last week as she was getting to the point where she wasn't eating, we felt this was the kindest thing for her, RIP little one.
The dog has been swimming at the canine swimming pool a couple of times, with Storms terrier who has some tendon problems and actually had an operation yesterday, I hope she is ok Storm! x
Which just leaves me! I have been working, and horse riding and walking the dog, and I even went to the cinema!!! Storm, her brother Sonny and I went to see Wolverine.....wow! It was wicked, Storm has lent me the other three films (X Men) which I must watch now I have finished this tour of work.
The next few weeks are going to be full, as I have a 5 day course with work, the Northern bird, and the Northern chick are coming down for the week that is if she can tear herself away from her new man Badger, I am taking Mum up to see her sister for a few days, we are having our granddaughter over for a few nights and I have a couple of dinner invitations, and a birthday party!
Lots to write about then.
Well I hope that has brought my blog up to date.
