Gerbil

As I drove to work this morning I wondered if I would be single manned, we have 3 crew mates on the rota we do, one who is a regular crew mate and two others who alternate shifts, and one of mine has gone to do a different job, leaving a gap.
I pulled into the station car park behind a car I didn't recognise, but when the driver got out I saw it was Gerbil, he told me I had drawn the short straw and he was one of my new crew mates, personally, I think he drew the short straw, well my regular crew mate would say he had!!
The day started slowly, I was driving for the first half of the shift and I think Gerbil saw two patients, both of which we took into hospital. Once we had changed over I also did two patients but only one of mine went in, although strangely for a Sunday, all our patients were fallers and all were over 78 years old, we had no sporting injuries or any other type of job! Very strange! Very good though, no kids in any shape or form, that is my kind of shift.
I drove home and found that Beth had hovered all through the house, cleaned the bathroom, and the microwave. Plus she did her laundry, what a busy girl!
Then I went and watched Lewis which I love before getting Twiglet out for a run around. My Husband rang again this evening, he has had two busy days, still two down.........
