It's my life, as I see it. It's my opinions, my thoughts, and my experiences. The content has changed over the years as my live has changed. The 40 something EMT Wife and mother, is now a Wife and Search Technician with Search Dogs Sussex and as for the age? Does that even matter!

Back to the grind stone.
Tuesday when I got in to work the night crew said they had just had the best night shift in a very long time, Hamster and I looked at each other both thinking the same, "great we have it all to come!"
We were sent to cover another station but before we got to the end of the road we were sent back to our station, which is where we stayed until about 11am when we were sent to do a job, an elderly retired doctor had fallen up the kerb and hit her nose, when we got there the pool of blood was huge and we thought we had a bad facial injury to contend with, but after mopping her up in the back of the ambulance it was just a minor cut and a nose bleed, we drove her home and did a couple of sets of obs before she signed our non conveyance form and we left her with her family to enjoy the rest of what was turning out to be a lovely sunny day. Our next job was at about 2pm, yes I did say 2pm we were so quiet it was unbelievable! We were called to a gentleman who was passing rather alarming amounts of blood into his catheter bag, this job was a doctors urgent, so we made our way into hospital where he could get his catheter sorted out.
Back at base, I am amazed to say once given our meal break that is where we stayed, until the end of the shift!
When the night crew got in one of them offered to do my first night shift which is Thursday night as I have been offered a ticket to the British Open Show Jumping which is held in Birmingham NEC, Bless him. Thanks Cherry.
On my way home from work I happened to see three deer grazing beside the road, after watching them for a good 5 minutes I suddenly thought I should take a photo, by the time I had got the camera sorted out only one of them remained, but it was lovely to watch them.
