Today I awoke to the wonderful early morning sounds of.............. Jack hammer or pneumatic road drill oh the absolute joy! Well actually that was for the second time of waking!!! The first time was to haul the duvet back off my husband who thought I could do with out it! how wrong.
The Blonde bird is doing the horses today so I could have had a lay in too.
After my husband had left to go to uni up in London, I decided to have a look at the hoover that arrived yesterday, all brand new but just puffed dust all around the room, after checking all the many filters and fan belts and all the other things which cause the hoover to run smoothly and dust free. Everything was in order, then I spotted it!!!............. the hose just sits in its little holder minding its own business ....till,.....if you are like me and bash the hoover willy nilly around the room sucking up the dogs tail and wee escaped hamsters (oh the cruelty!) I'm joking flippin' heck would I really do that?? Hmmm well the hamster can bite.......
and each time you hit the hoover or even catch the hose on something it leaps out of the holder and sprays dust everywhere! Not any more, I have the technology, Oh yes, I just wrapped an elastic band round it to tighten the seal. Damn I'm good.
After this clever interlude I washed up all the dishes, and brought the laundry in as it was raining.
Then I was bored!
I was supposed to be going round to have a cup of tea with my mum but I thought it might be nice if she came over to me, at least we could natter without me having to rush home for Lit'lun. I went and picked her up and brought her over, we had a cuppa then I prepared dinner, nothing spectacular just stuffed chicken breast wrapped in bacon roast pots and veg with asparagus sauce and bread and butter pudding for dessert.
At three o'clock I had to ring the court to find out what time I have to go in tomorrow, unbelievably they told me I have to ring again at the same time tomorrow!! Oh what, I can't plan anything or even go to work in case they need me to go in but this is crazy, the house is going to smell like bleach at this rate!
We chatted for ages. then after dinner there was a knock at the door. I wasn't expecting anyone so instantly my mind worked overtime, It was a friend of our family, and also distantly (he works for a different county but the same job) a work colleague called Hugh. He came round with a copy of JRCalc, which is like the ambulance service bible, it contains all the protocols and guidelines that the UK ambulance service has to adhere to, and I can't find mine. Now I can study for my paramedic exam! Which is on the 30th of March. (which also happens to be my husbands birthday.)
He had a quick chat with my Mum and I before going again.
I drove mum home then checked my emails, tidied up the lounge let the dog out and now its off to bed, my husband will be back shortly I hope he has had a good day.
