The cure!

After a very long night shift I was ready to go home this morning, I haven't been sleeping as it is and last night I was on a different station with a crew mate I have only worked with once before, so the worry is already there. Fortunately the lovely lady I was working with, Lee, was fab we chatted about all sorts and if by any slim chance she ever reads this... Thank you for, well you know what for. We had a mixed bag of jobs, one gentleman waiting until we got him onto the hospital bed before deciding to crash! They got him back very quickly but it was a bit of a surprise to every one. just as we were taking our things off the ambulance the day crew got a job, so it was a very quick start to the day for them, I hope it wasn't like that all day guys.
Back home I got changed, had the usual fried egg sandwich and cup of tea ( a must after a night shift) then when my husband got in we set off for Brighton, to see the church with the tallest vault roof in Europe,St Bartholomews, it is 126 feet tall (I think!) The inside of the church is amazing too with the marble and stone work and the wall art. We stayed for High Mass which was wicked, incense which I love and bells, a little unsure of the Biretta's though! After the service we came home again and carried on with our normal daily activities. Which included all the animals and tidying up.
My husband has another night shift to do tonight but I am lucky I can sleep in my lovely comfy bed. Well, I hope to be able to sleep anyway.
Another good thing about today was the fact that I found a cure, I slept all the way to and from Brighton in the car, fantastic (except I was driving......joke) so tomorrow I think I will ask someone to just drive to Scotland and back that should give me a good sleep!! The only problem, well perhaps not the only problem, but a problem none the less is that I am due in court tomorrow for jury service! What joy!!
