Mothering Sunday

Today I woke up to a cup of tea from my husband and fried eggs on toast which Lit'lun had cooked all on her own and brought up on a tray. Breakfast in bed. She also gave me a card she had made with lots of rather amusing photos of us all inside, she and Beth had got some presents for me but as Beth was still at her friends house we decided to wait until they were both here. My Husband went off to work, and Lit'lun and I went down to do the horses, the Blonde bird text me yesterday to say that mouse had broken the electric fencing down, grr, the battery needs recharging but she does these things at night when she has the protection of her rug to stop her getting a shock of the fence. Lit'lun and I fed them both and took their rugs off before getting to work on the fence, we put some more posts in and made sure the tape was nice and tight then I swapped the battery for a new one and put the other in the car to take home for recharging. We then went round to see mum, and take her mothering Sunday present round, we couldn't stop long as mum was looking after the hairy dog (my brothers border collie X, and we had the dog with us, Hairy dog went in the garden just for the short while it took us to have a cuppa then we went home. Where the next job was Twiglet, I completely cleaned her vivarium out giving her a clean fleece and swapping her toys for some different ones. She came out for a run around, if I put something new in her path (she usually walks the same path every time she comes out) she likes to investigate, today I put the tunnel from my granddaughters Thomas the Tank engine set in the path, after a few sniffs she decided it would be safe to run through, choo choo. Back at the stables I fed and hayed the horses but only put a rug on Red, Mouse has a very thick coat and it is much milder now, I think she needs to understand that the fence is there to stop her and not for her to break down every night, she will end up with laminitis if we can't keep her off the long grass! Cruel to be kind (but not very cruel!) Alas I did have to cook the dinner, My Husband has been at work so he couldn't, Lit'lun is too young really and although she would love to it ends up with more work for me in the long run, as for Beth!!! Can't cook Won't cook............ But I did get breakfast in bed. * * *
