It's my life, as I see it. It's my opinions, my thoughts, and my experiences. The content has changed over the years as my live has changed. The 40 something EMT Wife and mother, is now a Wife and Search Technician with Search Dogs Sussex and as for the age? Does that even matter!

Fencing
After giving the horses their morning feed today I decided that I should put the fences, that we took down during the winter, back up. There are two of them, one runs the width of the field cutting it into two almost even halves, the other splits the second half into halves again. If I leave it any longer the spring grass will start to grow and we will end up with fat horses or worse still Laminitic horses!
What I hadn't bargained on was the ball of messy electric fence tape that we had obviously left last year and forgotten about! It took me two hours to unravel it. Next I had to space out the fence posts then fit the tape into the slots, two strands per fence. This year we have made the fences two separate ones as last year the pulsar wasn't strong enough to get a good zap going through the whole fence, While I was doing all this I was also filling all the water troughs up as I had washed them out and started from scratch, Mouse thought this was good fun kicking the water that I had washed out, when she got bored with that she decided to chase the dog who in turn was chasing a tennis ball that I had to keep throwing for her, good job I took the ball slinger!
Once the fences were up, I mucked out the paddocks, (all three) then put the dog in the car and went to get some horse feed.
Back at the yard I wheeled the hay and feed up to the field, put the girls rugs on and left them for the night, I had been at the field from about 9:30 till 4:15, and now I am starving! but, I still have to clean out Twiglet, and feed the rabbit and the dog before thinking about dinner.
Lit'lun, who had been swimming with her friend has just got back and asked for a takeaway curry, we had pizza yesterday, I think I will have to go and cook something as tempting as it is!
