My Husband and I walked down to our parish church this morning in lovely warm sunshine, what a lovely day to be re-licenced. My husband is being re-licenced to the parish we live in as up until this point he has been a Deacon in a neighbouring parish.
The person who was to re-licence him was the Arch Deacon, now, having watcher the television series called Rev, I had a preconceived idea of what the arch deacon was going to be like! How wrong was I!
My husband was duly re-licenced.
We then went to the rectory and had a coffee, there was the Arch Deacon, two Priests a Deacon . . . . and even the Priests dog was wearing a collar!
Tonight we are off to our Priests house for supper. . . and a G&T
